Grease is the word; haven't you heard? Join us for our first FUNdraiser as we watch, dance and sing along to GREASE" at Limelight Performing Arts Center. The sing-a-long screening of the classic film starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John is brought to you by Limelight Theater Company. Ever wanted to know what it's like to be a T-Bird or a Pink Lady but never quite felt cool enough to pull it off? Well, now is your chance to don those Pink Lady jackets, grease up your DA and let your inhibitions go for an evening where you are the stars and GREASE is truly the word. The evening begins with a pre-film show where we'll do a vocal warm-up, teach you a unique set of dance moves including the hand-jive, talk you through our free interactive fun kit and preview our costume competition. Then just sit back and watch Danny & Sandy and the gang, while singing and dancing along to the lyrics as shown on the screen. Please note this is a screening of the movie, not a live stage show. This event is appropriate for all ages, kids and teens are encouraged to come! The important thing about a Sing-a-long is that it's completely inclusive. You join in as little or as much as you wish. Everyone is encouraged to dress up: whether a Pink Lady or T-Bird, a beauty school dropout or even a Eugene. Be creative and stand out from the crowd. The Grease Sing-Along program runs 2hrs 40 mins including a 30-minute pre-show walkthrough and 20-minute intermission where we will award costume prizes and draw for raffles.
